Eligibility:
- Individuals: Except for illiterate individuals, undischarged insolvents, and those of unsound mind. Can be single or joint accounts.
- Sole Proprietorship Firms: Requires the proprietor's KYC documents and any two of the following as proof of business activity: registration certificate, municipal license, sales and income tax returns, CST/VAT/GST certificate, professional tax certificate, IEC, or utility bills in the firm's name.
- Partnership Firms & LLPs: Requires KYC documents of partners, beneficial owners, and those holding power of attorney, along with the partnership deed.
- Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs): Requires KYC of the Karta and major coparceners, a declaration of the HUF, and recent passport photographs of major coparceners.
- Private/Public Limited Companies: Requires documents related to the company's incorporation, registered address, directors, and beneficial owners, as per the KYC policy.
- Trusts, Clubs, Associations & Societies: Requires registration certificates, trust deeds/bye-laws, resolutions of managing bodies, PAN or Form No. 60, power of attorney (if applicable), and KYC of trustees, office bearers, and beneficial owners.
- Government / Semi-Government Bodies / Departments: Specific documents as required by the bank.

How to Open a Current Account:
- Visit a Branch: Locate the nearest branch of Tripura State Co-operative Bank Ltd. You can find branch details on their official website. As of May 15, 2025, they have a network of branches across different districts of Tripura, including West Tripura, Khowai, Gomati, South Tripura, Dhalai, North Tripura, Unakoti, and Sipahijala.
- Obtain and Fill the Account Opening Form: Request a current account opening form from the bank official or download it from their website if available. Fill in all the required details accurately.
- Submit KYC Documents: Provide the necessary KYC documents as per the type of entity opening the account (individual, firm, company, etc.). Generally, this includes:
